The Stanislaus Health Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that started in 1982.

The mission of the Stanislaus Health Foundation is to provide funding and support to the Health Services Agency and the Valley Family Medicine Residency Program through healthcare scholarships, preventative programs, and equipment for quality patient care.

"Four Broad Determinants of Heath"

The Foundation is an integral partner with the Framework for a Thriving Stanislaus Initiative. This is the Community Health Improvement Plan that focuses on the four Broad Determinants of Health: (1) Access to Health (2) Basic Needs (3) Education, and (4) Built Environment. As a fundraising organization, our Board attracts members in our community with a vested interest and passion for helping all the people in Stanislaus County... and beyond.

2017 Scholarships

Eleven $1,000 Scholarships to be awarded May 10th at a Scholarship Presentation Ceremony. Please join us in congratulating the following 2017 Scholarship Recipients:

  • Health Services Agency employees pursuing a nursing career: January Patel

  • Modesto Junior College students pursuing a nursing career: January Patel

  • California State University Stanislaus students pursuing a nursing career: Tonee Cobb

  • Dr. John A. Walker Health Care Scholarship for community members pursuing a health care career: Leonor Borges

  • Dottie Stevens Memorial Scholarship for community members pursuing a health care career: Dominic Barandica

  • CNA Scholarship for high school seniors pursuing a Certified Nursing Assistant career: Alex Crawmer

  • Davis Health Academy high school seniors pursuing a health care career: Yasamin Barkzai

  • Teddie Hartman Scholarships for graduating high school seniors pursuing a health care career: Dominic Barandica, Alexa Valladolid, Olivia Bejar Gomez, Pratima Gangupantula

The Stanislaus Health Foundation is pleased to collaborate with community members such as the Heart Coalition and Health Services Agency Volunteer Services in offering these much needed scholarships to Stanislaus County students. Competition was keen as the applicant pool was highly skilled. We are honored to present eleven $1,000 scholarships to these very deserving recipients. Our sincere thanks and congratulations to all who applied.

The Stanislaus Health Foundation cultivates programs and activities that lead to the improvement of the health and well-being of all Stanislaus County residents.
